In the native market, Huawei performed really well in terms of sending security updates and new features. In the latest edition, Huawei Mate 40 Pro 4G users are receiving a new HarmonyOS update for further system improvements.
Perticulatery, the update installed various optimizations for the system, service center, task center, widgets, and other interfaces of the smartphone. Furthermore, it also contains the November 2021 security release note to strengthen the security arrangements in the Mate 40 smartphone.
However, Huawei has released two updates packed with the HarmonyOS version number 2.0.0.209 and 2.0.0.208 respectively: Besides, the 2.0.0.209 update has a smaller update log while the 2.0.0.208 has a bigger one.

- System: Optimize the user experience of knuckle screenshot in some situations
HarmonyOS 2.0.0.208 Update:
- Service Center: Adds Service combos to the Discover tab in Service Center (which you can access by swiping up from the bottom corner edges of the screen), allowing you to add service combos to the home screen to use scenario-specific widgets.
- Task Center: Adds the multi-device task management feature to Task Center, allowing you to view, manage, and transfer previous tasks from other devices that support Task Center, are connected to the same Wi-Fi network and are logged in to the same HUAWEI ID. You can access Task Center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen and holding it.
- Service Widgets: Adds the people album service widget (you can add it to your home screen by swiping up on the Gallery app icon) which loops photos of the person you select. Touch the avatar in the top corner to switch to another person, or touch a photo to open the album of the selected person.
- Input methods: Adds a shortcut icon that you can touch to download and use Celia Keyboard directly.
- AI Voice: Optimizes the Al Voice feature.
- System: Improves the user experience with basic operations, including touch and volume control, and adds support for enlarging home screen icons. Optimizes the system power consumption in certain situations.

Downloading Steps:
Via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Then tap on System & updates.
- Click Software update.
- Tap on Check for updates option.
- If a new update shows up, then click Download and install.
Via Support app: Alternatively, the users can also check for the new update via the Support/My Huawei app. To do so:
- Open the app.
- Then go to the Service tab and click the Update button.
- Tap on Check for update option, if found any then click Download and install.
- After installing reboot the device.
Keep Remember:
Before proceeding toward the downloading, first ensures that your device must have a minimum battery backup of 50%. For advance precautions, you can also create an advance backup of important data. In addition, check your storage availability(Internal/External SDcard) to download the latest update as per the size required. However, a seamless downloading process also requires a story WiFi or personal data connection, make sure you have all these.
